Fire Prevention
Fire prevention is, of course, a major concern to the management team. We strongly urge you to make regular inspection of your apartment for fire hazards such as overloaded wall outlets, accumulation of newspapers or magazines, and disposal of cigarettes.
- Do not store anything flammable in the apartment, garage, and storage facilities, under the stairs or in the breezeways. The storage of kerosene, gasoline, or other flammable or explosive agents is strictly prohibited.
- Please stay in your kitchen when frying foods, or cooking on the range top.
- Refrain from smoking in bed and check for lit cigarettes before retiring to bed.
- Please do not leave candles unattended. Any damage to your apartment due to candle wax or soot will be deducted from your security deposit.
- Grills are NOT permitted on any patio/ balcony due to new fire code guidelines, grills are provided in courtyards.
Smoke Detectors
Please check your smoke detectors monthly to make sure they are working properly. Pressing the test button on the detector can do this. If the smoke detector does not alarm, then please contact the management office immediately. If at any time your smoke detector chirps, this is an indication that the back-up battery needs to be replaced. Please contact the management office immediately.
At no time should the smoke detector be tampered with or disarmed.
